Leaving the mighty west pier of Dún Laoghaire on our portside we will head north across the inner bay towards Dublin Port. We will skim the shoreline off Sandymount, birthplace of William Butler Yeats, and on past Irishtown and the Great South Bull Wall. From there we will head up the river Liffey, passing the iconic twin towers at Poolbeg, and onwards to the Poolbeg yacht club where we can stop to take refreshments. There is every chance that we will meet a colossal ship or two on their visit to Dublin Port. When we are ready we will return to Dún Laoghaire.
