The Boats

The Powerboat:

We have the use of a Lochin 333 Harbour Pilot with twin Perkins 300hp engines on shaft drives which give her a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 24knots. Constructed to ‘workboat’ specifications, she is a super sturdy semi displacement flybridge motorboat with renowned sea keeping qualities and is ideal for serious recreational or commercial use, inshore or offshore. The boat has massive cockpit space, walk around side decks, and excellent visibility from the wheelhouse and flybridge.

The Sailing Yacht:

The ‘Black Robin’, a Trintella 35’, is a classic Dutch built sailing ketch. Trintella yachts have always been the most sought after boats around and are well known for their exceptional sea keeping capabilities. They have a second to none reputation for safety at sea. Many have sailed around the world.

Black Robin can carry 5 guests plus crew. She is fully insured and carries safety equipment in excess of the legal requirements. The boat undergoes safety checks prior to each sailing.

Toilet facilities are available.

The Crew

Skipper Vincent Duke, is a fully qualified RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. He also holds qualifications from the USCG, the RNLI and others. He has spent over 30 years voyaging the oceans of the world, delivering yachts and powerboats to far flung and exotic ports. Now back living in his native Dublin, he continues his love affair with the sea. There is nothing he likes better than sharing his love of the sea, and a few salty yarns, with guests on board.

Cian McCormack is a commercially endorsed ISA powerboat skipper. He is young and enthusiastic and is very knowledgeable about the wildlife on the bay. He loves to introduce our guests to the lesser known beauty and secret places of Dublin Bay.
